Mission Statement from CST
Our mission is to increase people’s awareness of the problem and concerns created by millions of acres of beetle kill trees and vast over treed acres on public and privately held land. In addition to heightening awareness of this problem, we intend to encourage
businesses within the forest industry to expand their activities by offering equipment that maximizes potential use and profitability of forest product ranging from firewood to furniture. Initially, we intend to focus on problems and opportunities in Colorado later to be expanded to include the area described as the ”Rocky Mountain west.“
The problem:
There is a huge area including literally millions of acres that are either over treed and have been devastated with beetle kill. Many areas suffer from a combination of these problems. The over treed areas and millions of dead trees are the perfect fuel for wild fires. This unbelievable amount of fuel makes it to one of the most dangerous problems in Colorado.
As we learned in the past, wild fires are getting larger and the threat for lives and properties increases tremendously. Forest management is the only solution.
In this huge area there are numerous small to medium sized companies whose activities focus on the forest/lumber industry. However, as numerous as they are, they have no significant ”voice“ or influence on the industry at large. This is primarily due to the fact that they operate independently.
Part of this market strategy is to prepare a directory of owner/operators and encourage net-working, coordinating activities, and - in general- promote a relationship that will result in an organization that will be better able to voice concerns, gather financial support and influence outcomes that will be significantly more productive.

Yes, there is still a market in the USA and Europe for your products.
But there will be no market for overpriced, poor quality products and the market will not come to you. The CST team has experience in marketing, sales and export.
What kind of equipment can you rent?
Currently CST has an Oswald Rounding Machine RM 102 which produces posts up to a maximum of 4“ in diameter. Output of this machine is up to seven posts 8 feet long per minute.
There is also a Rounding Machine RM 160 available which produces posts or poles up to 6“ in diameter.
For posts and poles with the classic hand peeled look CST has two German Post Peelers available. These handle logs up to 6“ in diameter.
There is also a post pointer with an extremely high output available.
If you don’t have 480 Volt 3 phase available, CST has a Caterpillar Generator available to power this equipment. All equipment can be moved via gooseneck trailer from one location to the next.
